We like a leisurely dinner - and struggle particularly when the main courses are brought out while we are still enjoying our appetizers. On our very first meal this time (at Mama Melrose) we specifically asked if we could go slow and make sure we had time to finish starters before getting the main. Yet the main came out when we were far from finished with the yummy antipasto. They took it back, but Alan's pasta in particular came back cold and soggy. Saved on the tip that day, but disappointing.

Another time at Wolfgang Puck sushi bar the waitress kept apologising for keeping us waiting - but we were delighted to have time to enjoy the food and atmosphere (we like watching the guys make the sushi!). She said that she and her family would have complained and that they always like to be in and out as quickly as possible. We had a great time - and gave a healthy tip that day!

I can understand that the restaurants may want tables turned over quickly to make more money, but on the 3 occasions where we had issues this time there were plenty of tables free, so this wouldn't apply.
Looking at some of the holiday brochures for next year to get an idea of the price, Thomas Cook Signature seem cheaper than Virgin. Are there any catches? They use Virgin Schedule flights but seem to be alot cheaper. Apparently this brochure could come out in December which is 2 months earlier than virgins preview book. Any information about TC Signature would be great:thumbs:
So excited as my whole family look like they will be coming too....:woohoo:

Me, I kinda like a day in the 70s that is foreboding some rain. I know that seems crazy but the parks are much emptier if it looks like it's going to rain. Of course if it IS raining I don't like that much. A partly cloudy day is also great... just enough cloud cover to keep the sun from beating down and making the pavement hot.
