Re: Port Orleans French Quarter or riverside resort

I never stayed in AB Tishy . I heard the rooms are even bigger than the mansions and can fit a family of 5 . How far from the main building are they ?

Re: Port Orleans French Quarter or riverside resort

Depends which block you are in, we were actually closer in AB than the mansion!!!!
The only downside to it was the walk from the car, I had to do it a few times at night on my own when I had dropped my parents or nephews off at their hotels, I used to run through the complex because with all of the trees it gets a bit creepy (although it never occured to me I could have parked in the reception carpark and walk that way past the wheel but nevermind)
I thought the inside of the rooms were to a better standard, because in the mansion rooms everything is like a brassy metal it looks tarnished and worn very quickly but in AB it was all wood.

Re: Port Orleans French Quarter or riverside resort

Hey Cooks123,

I had the exact same dilemma, but we just came back from FQ and toured POR, and I did not regret it at all!
The rooms are clean and cute, the pool is great and so is the food court.
Everything is reachable in a 3 minute stroll.

But as someone reminded me, how much time do you actually spend at your resort?
I'd say 7 hours; sleeping
;-)

Edit:
Oh, and we never had to share buses with POR, guess we got lucky.
