New to DVC

I have been reading through all your comments regarding DVC and it sounds fantastic.
Where can I find out what it will cost for a 2 week break each September at the Saratoga Springs? Is there a calculator available or do I need to speak to Disney.

Thanks for any help provided.

woody2003,
Welcome to the boards!
I just happen to have a SSR points schedule in front of me (I just put a down payment on a SSR contract ).

The whole month of Sept is "Adventure Seaon" . It is the season in which the points are the lowest!

You have a wide choice of accomodations:

A studio costs 95 points per week. (S-Th 11 points per night, F/Sat 20 points per night).
Studios are much like a hotel room which a few extras such as a refrigerator, microwave oven and coffee maker. They accomodate 4 plus 1 under 3.

A One Bedroom costs 182 points per week (S-Th 20 points per night, F/Sat 41 points per night). A 1BR has a full kitchen, living room and little dinning area with a washer and dryer and a jacuzzi. A one bedroom accomodates 4 plus 1 under 3.

1 Two BR costs 243 points per week (S-Th 27 points per night, F/Sat 54 points per night). A 2 BR has everything a 1 BR has plus another BR and bathroom. A 2BR accomdates 8 plus 1 under 3 (maybe 2 under 3 depending on who reads the rules).

A Grand Villa costs 505 points per week (S-Th 67 points per night, F/Sat 85 points per night0. A Grand villa has everything that the 2BR has plus another BR and bathroom. A GV accomdates 12 plus 1 under 3 (or maybe 3 under 3 depending...) I haven't seen a GV, but I have heard they are absolutely beautiful....

Points for SSR are $89.00 per point. They are currently offering an incentive of $10.00 per point off and you get to keep your points--because it is the pre-sale period. The resort opens in June and points can not be used until the resort opens.

I don't know how long they will offer the incentive-- I have heard Oct 31st is the ending date. I don't know if it will be extended.

I would recommend you contact DVC and have them send you some materials so you can look them over. www.dvcmember.com

One other factor that I didn't mention--and it is a big factor is the yearly maintenance fees and accounts for 60-75% of the cost of your ownership. SSR is less than $4.00 per point (I'm not sure where I wrote down the exact amount ).
