DVC members: Where have you stayed, so far?

I was inspired by Big Thunder's response on another thread (BT--we joined around the same time as you did! We joined in Feb 2002. )

I was wondering--where have folks used their points and how many vacations have people made since joining DVC?

Next trip: BCV 2BR 4 Nights NYE 2003... We had a fantastic time last year--we decided to try it again.

Honest DC? I haven't kept track. I was trying to remember the other day, where and how many times I'd stayed anywhere using the points and just couldn't.

Something I wish I'd thought to do. Record not only where I stayed but in what room/bldg, etc.

Ah well. Live and learn!

Wow DC! You use your points well. that's how I would like to do it. Do you mind if I ask how many points you have?

When I first started or since I've done two add-ons? (There was no one around to STOP me!!! )

(DH is worse than I am--instead of stopping me buying more, he is usually cheering me on...)

We probably won't add anymore points on, unless DVC should come up with a monorail/MK resort.

Wow DC you have a fantastic amount of points. I wish! We may add more some day but for right now we have 220. We can only go twice a year & that covers it. We didn't want to get in debt for more than we needed. Now I'm wishing I had more or that we had the extra $$$ to buy at SSR.

So far we've done OKW for 9nights I believe in a studio
Vero Beach studio for 7 nights
and coming up on BCV 1br for 9 nights.

Nothing to pizazzy here, just typical WDW trips. One of these days I'd love to try the trading points to go to Mexico or Canada.

By careful banking & borrowing our 310 points, especially over the more recent years, we`ve so far managed the following vacations with DVC,

1993 - 14 nights at GF
1995 - 14 nights at OKW [then called Conch Key] 2 bed Vac.Home
1997 - 14 nights OKW [2 bed Vacation Home]
1999 - 14 nights OKW [Grand Villa]
2001 - 7 nights WL
2002 - 7 day Eastern Cruise, 4 days at VB, 8 days at GF

I reckon that by now the original investment has paid for itself.

Novemvber 2004 was our first DVC stay in OKW, it was fun. we normally stayed in All Star Sports, which was good too. I liked the amount of room we had and the kitchen, etc. The only thing I missed from All Star Sports was the cafeteria style dining, it was great for a quick meal. OKW has a restaurant and the one burger place on the outside, I forget the name of it. You can buy groceries in the store.

I honestly never kept track of how many times we stayed on points but have stayed in everysize unit there is from a studio to a GV in OKW since becoming DVC members We've also stayed in a studio a few times at BCV's and a studio once the year we bought our points at Vero Beach. Need to try the larger size units at the other DVC resorts but so far I've been a chicken lol. Afraid I won't like the larger size villas in comparison to the one's at OKW -- they're so huge!! I love it! One of these days lol

Anyway, beyond our stays on pts, have stayed at

Dixie landings (now POR-R) several times
CBR - once
Yacht club - once
BC - twice
BCV's-twice
Poly - twice
GF - twice (once in a suite on our honeymoon Whoo-Hoo! )
Vero Beach - once
OKW - Too many to count

and looking to try out the Contemporary for a wknd stay this June for our ds's b-day
