suggestions for a 'posh' afternoon

After renewing wedding vows at Cypress Grove Park, we will be dressed rather grandly - don't want to go back to the hotel and change into jeans etc, so..................what do we do to fill in the afternoon and evening?
There will be myself, dh, and 2 pals from Tampa who are joining us for the day/evening.
Where do we go/what do we do? Pals have already been to see C du S and other evening dinner shows. Plus, one person will be under age for clubs (16).

Well then, dinner? Any number of WDW resort restaurants could form the backdrop for a celebration. California Grill for example would be a neat place, and if you timed it well, you'd be able to see the fireworks show.

A cruise? Might be a little tricky with grand dress, but it's not like you'd be going fishing or something!

A movie is probably out, huh?

Will the others have tickets to get in the parks?

A meal in the evening sounds good - at one of the Disney hotels. We will have park tickets, but our 2 guests won't - can anyone use the Disney hotel restaurants? If we can all have a meal - which restaurant has a varied menu, is quite classy, and that we can view some fireworks from, or even the electric water parade?

Any ideas on filling in the time from about noon until 6pm?

I am a pain - I know it - but a canny pain

Afternoon tea at GF is quite 'posh'.

You could have dinner at 'Ohana, then watch the fireworks and ELP from the Poly beach.

Yes, anyone can use Disney hotel restaurants

Hi

We got married at Cypress Grove last August. We then went & had an early dinner at '1900 Park Fare' which was lovely, but then we went to the 'Boardwalk' which was soooo romantic!

We were happy to stroll up and down and sit with a few drinks. Everyone was so friendly and kept coming up to congratulate us.

Just an idea!

I'd agree with the Californian Grill. I had my **th birthday there last year and it was lovely. I was able to be dressy, and was sat at the big window where we saw the MK fireworks - they pipe the music in - and the Water Pageant. The only thing is to being there with the FW times. The window seats are first come first served but if you keep mentioning your special occasion you will probably be lucky. This is a also a great place for sitting at the bar or in the loungy bit having drinks, so if you have a bit of time to kill before your PS time they do wonderful cocktails! This also means if your mealtime doesn't match with the FW then you can hang around for drinkies and go watch them from the observation deck when they are on!

Make that a Disney RESORT Restaurant. If the restaurant is in one of the parks then you have to have a ticket.

Ooooh--afternoon tea and a lovely dinner! How about a fireworks cruise? Boardwalk could be lovely too! You could stroll around and have a drink at a couple places! Ooooh, Ooooh, the fireworks on the beach at the Poly.

I love to think of ideas for other people!
