Birthday Celebration - Disney World

Any ideas on the best way to celebrate my birthday when I am on holiday, would like to eat somewhere "nice" rather than a canteen/fast food type of place ?

I've never celebrated a birthday at WDW, but we've celebrated our 19th anniversary. We did the Hoop Dee Doo Revue for dinner..it was cool.
I know there are lots of folks here who've celebrated birthdays at WDW..they'll pop up and give you all sorts of ideas.
Don't forget to stop in a City Hall (I believe that's where it is) and get your birthday button at the Magic Kingdom!

How about a little more detail here? Are we talking about a milestone birthday or just any old birthday? Is cost an object?

Should have said, it will be my 31st and no I don't think cost will be an object, cos I hope not to be paying

Hi Mindy H,
I cannot comment on restaurants outside WDW, but within WDW itself there are loads of "nice" restaurants to choose from...a lot depends upon your dietary preferences.

For the ultimate dining experience, you cannot beat V & A`s at the GF...if the cost is not a problem!
If you are a steak lover, then the Yachtsmans Steak House at Y & BC takes some beating.
My favourite fish restaurant is the Flying Fish at the Boardwalk.
Artists Point at WL is also very good, or there is the California Grill at the Contemporary etc.etc.

As I said earlier, you really are spoiled for choice as there are so many suitable places to go.

Wherever you decide, make sure that everyone knows that you are celebrating your birthday and see what happens.

I absolutely agree with everything Slowhand said for recommendations. We have done V&A numerous times and Yachtsman twice. There are just so many great choices.
