California Grill for Wedding Reception Dinner - Yes/No??

I am really starting to panic now as I only have 3 months til my wedding and I can't decide on where to have my wedding dinner, there is only 8 of us in the wedding party in total.

I spoke to my disney planner last night who gave me some suggestions, she did suggest GF Citrico's Chef Domain but this is looking to be a bit too pricey for me and they have set times so you can't spend as long as you want in there.

The other option I was thinking about was the California Grill. What do you guys think?? Do you think this would be too open and public for a wedding dinner (bear in mind that i want to start in my wedding dress and the other guests in their wedding gear), will we be too dressed up for CG?? What kind of atmopshere does it have?? Have any of you ever seen a wedding party eating there??

Sorry for all the questions, hope someone can me.

Lisa

I think California Grill would be lovely and you would most certainly not be out of place in wedding finery. It is one of the nicer restaurants with an implied (although not required) dress code.

The menu is nice, the food well made and you can see Wishes from there!

It tends to be a bit more of an adult place too, so that might be a positive!

I really do like the California Grill for special occasions. I've seen loads of wedding parties in there and I think it has the right kind of special atmosphere if you know what I mean?

I think if you have hundreds of guests who know each other, then a special room for just them works well, but if you're having 8 or so, then I think a restaurant with other folks around, fireworks potentially out of the window and so on all helps with the atmosphere.

California Grill would definitely not be out of the question. However, neither would Citrico's Main Restaurant. They are both excellent restaurants.

You will not be overdressed or out of place at all. This is a lovely restaurant & it would be so special to be able to view the fireworks at your wedding dinner.

Re: California Grill for Wedding Reception Dinner - Yes/No??

I was also thinking of the California Grill for my wedding reception, but I have a problem because we are getting married at the Swan Hotel which is quite a way from CG. We have no transport with our wedding package and so the only other option is to use the monorail system that they have and i'm not too keen on using this in my wedding dress etc! Any other ideas?

Contact Gregory at Quicksilver (see the link at the top) and see if he could arrange something for you.
