Supermarket on way from airport

Can one of our lovely Orlando residents please give us directions to stop off at a supermarket on our way from MCO

We'll be coming along the Central Florida Greeneway, then onto Osceola Parkway, and don't really want to go too far off track.

Thank you

Osceola Parkway has a new Walmart, but I'm not sure you'll be far enough down on it.

I forget what resort you are staying at? Coming off the Greenway you could end up in Celebration. That would give you a left onto 192 west with a very nice Publix west on 192 down a few miles. You could then backtrack to Black Lake Rd. and be on WDW property in minutes in the immediate vicinity of AK.

However, depending upon your resort, you may just want to head for WDW property and go to the Publix behind the Premium outlet mall. You'll get there from DTD by following the signs for the Mary Queen of the Universe Shrine. Pass in front of the mall, take a right and you'll see the Publix on your right.

I'd say the Publix just north of the Premium Outlets as Tink said. On the aerial, the Premium Outlets is the building just above the Church. The Publix will be across the street.

Hi Joanne,

The best choice is a Publix right off 417 (greenway). As soon as you pass the first toll on 417 take the exit "landstar", then a left under the 417 and the Publix is right there on your right. This is the one we usually use for our stops since it is the most convenient for both us and our customers. Also it's one of the emptiest Publix around.

Regards,

Gregory Nicolas.

Thanks all

Gregory, is it easy to get back onto the 417 afterwards?

Tink/SM, how far is it, and how difficult to get to Publix near OPO?
Bear in mind that we'll have just been on a 9 hour flight, and on US roads for the first time this visit

The one by Premium Outlets is easy to find - I found it several times.

Very easy. This Publix is about 1/4 of a mile from the 417, so you can actually see the road from it. They ALL close at 10:00pm though, keep that in mind.

Re: Supermarket on way from airport

I understand what Gregory is saying, but I'd go with the Publix at Premium outlets for several reasons, one being it is set up more for the visitor than the local shopper. That will give you more options that are user friendly for the person staying in a resort.

From PO FQ head for DTD. Take the Hotel Plaza Blvd to the intersection of Crossroads and SR 535. Take a right on SR 535, pass under the (I-4) overhead and take a left on Vine (just by Bahama Breeze) following the signs for the outlet and Mary, Queen of the Universe. Pass in front of the mall and take a right. Follow that road for a matter of yards and the Publix will be on your left.

A simple back track will lead you right back to your resort.
