We're travelling with AA this christmas and it will be my 12y/o first 'long' flight. WHats the inflight entertainment like? Also, we're flying back as new year passes - do airlines usually celebrate this?

Many thanks

Phil

Re: American Airlines from UK to US

I fly with AA quite a lot. Don't know about their entertainment but I am impressed with the amount of legroom. If you join their aadvantage miles scheme on aa.com you can select your own seats on the plane.

Thanks clio,

Yes, thats one of the main reasons for booking with AA - I'm 6'3! I've joined their advatage scheme too.

We travelled on AA from Heathrow to Chicago in May and really enjoyed the flight. There is plenty of legroom and the inflight entertainment was good too, loads of movies and programmes to choose from. You get a little remote control for your personal screen too which I thought was quite good!

Re: American Airlines from UK to US

Ive heard that the International part of the flight is quite good with extra leg-room than most other airlines, Service can be a little up and down but isn't that all airlines these days. The only real bad thing I've heard about them is that they do use a lot of small aircraft domesticly, so dont expect the extra legroom or seatback tv's for this part of your flight but hey its only a few hours and by that point your be planning your first rides for the next day!!!!!!! YAH YAH YAH
