Meeting Someone at MCO

My friend is arriving 2 days after me and I was wondering what is the best place to meet her at the airport. Will I be allowed to go into baggage claim, and if so how will I know whether she is arriving at A or B - are there screens with that information? If I can't go into baggage claim can anyone suggest a good place to meet. Thanks.

Yes there are screens displaying the information.

A few years ago, we met some friends who were arriving a couple of days after us. They flew into terminal B, and we met them in the main lobby near to the Hyatt Hotel and then went to baggage claim with them.

You can meet them in baggage claim. There are signs for each carousel, so be sure to get their airline and flight number.

If you miss them, there should be courtesy phones and you can have them paged. Had to do that with Leu in Las Vegas--tried calling her cell, her bag was there and she wasn't over an hour after her flight landed (and her flight arrived first!). She was stuck in the ladies room on the concourse holding an infant who's mother had fainted in front of her! Security didn't believe that she wasn't traveling with them!

Yes you can meet them in baggage claim. Assuming you know their Airline and Flight number there is a HUGE signboard on the main level outside both the A & B security gates that tells the flight status and gate so you could also wait right outside of the security point. When we met Breeze at MCO during the big UOG meet we waited right outside of the security area for the A concourse with signs with her name on it. We had a bit of fun with it considering her liking for flamingos.

I had no problems at all spotting John, Donna, and JM at the airport since they were standing there with signs and stuffed pink flamingos waiting for me

Just carry a very large sign decorated with her name and pink flamingos on it and your friend will have no problem what so ever spotting you in the crowd

Was wondering if they put flamingos on the signs or brought a yard flamingo. The soft flamingos are even better (and easier to take home!).

Wish we had a photo of that event!

Re: Meeting Someone at MCO

We do have pictures from the airport. I think they are JM's pictures from the meet. I have my signs in my office and all 3 of my stuffed flamingos too

If (and that's a big IF) I did this right then this should be a picture of our room window with my PF in it PF

AND the airport here AND here

AND me trying not to burst into tears when I saw them because I was so totally surprise and touched that the 3 of them went to so much trouble for me here
