Question No kids?

How many of you visit WDW without kids?
Do you prefer it that way or do you like it best when you have kids with you?

Joanne

I have been just twice. Both times it was me, the hubby, and his sister. The first time the parent were with us. We were the kids i guess, but I really like it being adults. I'm concered that a kid would get tried really fast!

Hubby and I went with no kids and we had so much fun. We are mid 20's and I almost think that we had more fun at this age then if we had gone {with parents} and 8 or 10.

PrincessPur- I took a glance at your profile and I am 9 days older than you I just thought it was nifty..I'm weird I know it

That is an interesting question, Joanne!

I have gone to WDW five times with just adults and about 15 times with children.

I treausre my adult only trips-it is like a completely different vacation destination. I experience the finer dining-I love to stay at AKL and just chill. I have gone the past two years in May-it is wonderful enjoying the flower and garden festival by myself and this past May I took 182 pictures during a 2.5 day vacation and NONE of children. It is so cool to tour without pushing a stroller!!

That said....I take my daughter at least twice a year and it creates some priceless memories-of carefree time where all we have to do is enjoy each other and be silly. Sitting on the beach watching the fireworks together is incredible and not having a million doctor and therapy appointments to rush to makes it really seem like we are in a totally different world.

So, I guess my answer is I don't know!

The hubby and I have traveled to Disney twice with no kids. Next year is going to be our first family vacation with my brother & sister in law and 2 nieces who will be 4 & 7 so it will be a change.... I like going with the two of us but I also am really looking forward to seeing Disney magic through their eyes as this will be their first trip....

John and I have visited WDW quite a few times now (and have several upcoming trips in the works), and I've only been there twice with kids; John has been once.

As much as I enjoyed WDW with my son (he was 12), and with the two granddaughters, I really prefer it without kids. It gives John and me the time to do all the "adult" things we enjoy without having children along. Tours, special meals, etc.

Now, having said that, we have at least 2 more trips planned that include children: 2004 with our next two granddaughters, and 2006 with our two grandsons. And I know we will really enjoy seeing WDW through their eyes! We very much enjoyed being there in 2001 with the first two girls! I couldn't have planned a more perfect and special trip!

We will plan fun things to do, meals to enjoy, and the trip will be planned around the kids - which means we won't do the types of things we do when we are there alone. But that's ok. The trip is about them - not us! And we will make it as fun and special as possible!

I have never been there with kids. Only as a child, and now as an adult. I love going with my husband and my parents. This Sept, my hubby and I are going, just the two of us to celebrate our Anniversary. I am VERY excited. I love kids, but right now my hubby and I aren't ready for them at all. So we enjoy our adult time, before kids come along. I like it that way!

My friend are going without their kids for their anniversary...It is the third time they have done that....I can't seem to do it...I figure that once they are grown we will go alone. We always say that we will be that commerical where the young married guy is saying that he can't believe they went without him (to Disney)! then they show his parents on Big Thunder!

and then the one where you hear the grandmom talking on the phone and saying I don't think your wife and kids would be happy about you going with us!!

THat will be ME!! Enjoying Disney through all the stages of life!!

My last 4 trips were without kids! Of course, since I don't have any, it makes it easy not to take any.

This is just my opinion, but I really can't understand why anyone would want to leave their kids behind. To me, WDW is about family.
