HTML and timers turned off

You've probably noticed some technical problems on the boards in the last few days.

I've been trying to sort out the problems, without much luck.

The problems seemed to start when people started using the countdown timers in signatures.
This could of course be a coincidence, but to rule out that this is not causing the problem, I'm having to turn off html, and ask people to remove timers from their signatures.
I will also be upgrading the boards in the next couple of days.
If it turns out that the timers weren't the problem, you can start using them again.
I know people like the timers, but I'm sure you'll agree that it's better to have fully functioning boards.
