Vow renewals

I just found another possible place to renew my wedding vows. I read about it on the Virginholidays site. Its Cypress Grove (not gardens).
Has anyone heard of this place?

Mid Morning - Vow renewal ceremony at LittleWhiteWeddingChapel or CypresGrove
Lunch - Kona Cafe
Dinner - Grand Floridian 1900 PARK FAIRE ch buffet

Cypress Grove

Hi Mitra

Cypress Grove is where my partner & I are getting married on 26 June 2003 (also through Virgin). There is a Cypress Grove website and I am sure there is another forum member getting married there early next year.

Our ceremony is at 1pm and our day similar to yours! We had hope to have our wedding mid morning and to go for lunch in a nice hotel but 1pm is the only time we can book.

I have the beautician coming in the morning (booked thro' Virgin) to my hotel room ($135 for hair, make up and manicure) and after the ceremony we have the limo for 2 hours to drive around.

We are also planning to go to 1900 Park Fare and stay at GF for the Water Pageant and to watch Fireworks in the Sky from there. Is there a lounge at GF where our wedding party, including children, could relax with a glass of wine for adults (soft drinks for kids) before/after our meal or is there some activity we could do? (we thought about getting our portraits done at the artists studio!)

Dunno, I would check with Virgin - I presume if they offer it to offsite then it should be okay for onsite (unless Disney have any rules against it?).

Virgin are contacting us about 5 weeks before we go to confirm our requests (flowers etc). When we arrive we meet with the wedding co-ordinator before we arrive to check our final arrangements and I have to call the hairdresser/beautician to make my appointment.

I looked on the Virgin website and if someone books a Disney Swan or Dolphin package one of the extras offered is 'in room' hairdressing etc. I presume if they offer it to guests at these resorts then it should be ok elsewhere in WDW.

Have you got your wedding/vow renewal info in from Virgin, our booking form detailed all the additional extras we could purchase - this should tell you whats on offer. Ours took about 3 weeks to come through after first enquiring about the wedding.

We decided to go with Little White Wedding Chapel after all. Its pretty inside and we can get nice photos of us in wedding attire in the grounds of Port Orleans Riverside. I book my own vacations so I will have to hunt about to get a hairstylist that comes to the room. I am sure Disney will have someone who does this.

The litttle white chapel looked lovely - I had looked at this too. Have you booked your vow renewals yourself too - perhaps whoever is dealing with the booking could recommend a hairdresser etc.

Im sure your photos will be amazing, Im looking forward to getting some at the GF when we go 1900 Park Fare, I wasnt sure if we would be allowed to stay for the Water Pageant etc as we are not GF guests soI emailed Cust Rel and they said it would be fine.

I just received my itinary from the Little White Wedding Chapel.
I must say I am very impressed with the stationery they used - very beautifully presented

I am pleased to say we will be having a Christian Service for our renewals - true love wedding blessing - and a pink & white wedding cake, and bottle of champagne
Booked for 11 am at the Little White Wedding Chapel - May 22 2003
Photos in Port Orleans Riverside Mansions at 11:30am - 12:30 pm
I will be wearing a traditional Ivory gown and my daughters will be wearing pink full length floergirl dresses I am hoping to book a Disney photographer to take the photos at POR mansions

That sounds great - we are having to do the blessing when we get home! I have copied and pasted an email below that is another beautician that can visit your room - although it is a little more expensive than Virgin - the flower girls are way cheaper

So sorry for the delay. I am attaching this file for you to see on prices. We are not as cheap as some, but we are very good. If you are getting married on a week day, I can give you a discount. I just checked and it looks like you are!

Instead of $230 for you, I will only charge you $175 for your hair and make-up. The flower girl will be $25 and the other bridesmaid would be $65 for hair and $45 for make-up.

We do a lot of brides from England and Scotland and we are very good with not ever having seen you before. So, there's no need to worry about whether we can do it or not.

Please attach this to your response if you will. I will need to refer to it. Also, if you decide to use us, I will send you a contract which will guarantee our services for you.

I hope to hear from you.

Sincerely,

Kari
